Classic Safaris Prices

Classic Safaris will work individually with you to tailor make your hunt. You may come Plains Game Hunting for kudu, gemsbok, zebra, and many other species, listed below. You may also add big cats, including cheetah and leopard, in the Dangerous Game packages. In the Caprivi, you may come elephant hunting, buffalo hunting or lion hunting.

African Plains Game Hunts

Leopard and Cheetah Hunting Packages

In our North West hunting area, we offer hunting of Leopard and Cheetah. You can read more about this area on the Northwest Namibia Hunting Areas page. 

Leopard hunts package

In 2006, 3 out of 4 of our hunters were successful with traditional baited hunts. This package includes 14 hunting days, the trophy fee of one Leopard ($ 2500), road transfers to and from the camp and airport, hunting licenses, field preparation & dipping and VAT (government charge) for $ 10 350.

The services of a professional hunter together with the skinning, tracking, catering, laundry and housekeeping staff will ensure a quality and enjoyable hunt. The only possible extra costs will be additional trophies and your optional tipping, in other words no hidden costs. A deposit will confirm your booking and the balance payable at the end of the hunt. The trophy fee is only payable at the end of the hunt provided that you were successful.

Cheetah hunts package

A limited number of Cheetah permits are available through Classic Safaris. This package includes the trophy fee of one Cheetah ($ 2000), with an additional donation of $ 1000 to Cheetah conservation, 14 hunting days, road transfers to and from the camp and airport, hunting licenses, field preparation & dipping and VAT (government charge) for $ 12 500.

The trophy fee and conservation donation are only payable at the end of the hunt provided that you were successful.

Cheetahs may be exported from Namibia and may be imported by numerous European countries as well as Canada. Currently, the Fish and Wildlife of the USA does not allow the importation of Cheetah, although we have heard though that SCI is close to getting several permits per year approved.

Additional Options and Information

Plains game may also be hunted at the respective and standard trophy fee only. Also consider the possibility of problem Lions and Elephants being declared, and although trophy quality can not be guaranteed under these circumstances, you may be afforded the opportunity to hunt these declared animals. 

Optional pre-baiting is not included in the package and will be an additional $ 300, should you decide to opt for this.

Caprivi Strip Hunting

Elephant, Lion, Buffalo and Plains Game

The following prices are for the Salambala and Kasika Communal Conservancies in the Caprivi Strip of Namibia. You can read more about these Conservancies on the Caprivi Hunting Areas page.

Caprivi Lion hunts

Trophy Lion are only offered to hunters hunting in the area for other game. Each hunter in this area has the opportunity of hunting Lion, unless a Lion has already been taken and the permit filled. Hunters must understand that a previous hunter may fill the permit. For this reason, we do not offer Trophy Lion only hunts. The trophy fee is $ 10 000.00.

Please also consider the possibility of problem Lions being declared, although this cannot be guaranteed.

Booking Your Classic Safari

A deposit will confirm your booking, and will vary depending on your choice of packages. Please contact us for any questions you have.  

We want you to feel comfortable booking directly with Classic Safaris. The easiest method for payment is a wire transfer, bank-to-bank. These are usually very easy to accomplish from the USA, and you may ask your bank for more information. We can provide all necessary details by email.
